Lutheran Hills is one of three camps operated by the Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Indiana-Kentucky (LOMIK), a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (of which New Joy is a member). Located in the hills of Brown County, Lutheran Hills offers faith-based week-long camp sessions for children from 1st grade through high school. Sessions run throughout the summer at each of LOMIK’s locations.
Games and hiking, camp fires and songs, crafts and devotions, and more, all within the setting of an intentional, caring Christian community. This is a great chance for kids to get dirty, grow in faith, and have a great week with friends new and old.
This summer let’s send New Joy’s rising 4th-9th graders to Lutheran Hills Camp, July 22-27!
Registration is by mail. Click here to view and print the registration packet (we also have some packets available at church). Kids entering 4th-6th grade register for Pioneers; 7th-9th graders for Trailblazers.
If July 22-27 doesn’t work for you, or if you want a younger or older child to go to one of the LOMIK camps, visit their website and find another week or location to register. Kids certainly do not have to be part of an organized “church group” to sign up or go. Pick the best week and location for your family!
Questions? Visit the LOMIK website, and talk with Pastor Chris or Jessicah Duckworth. They’ve been sending their three kids to Lutheran sleep-away camps since their oldest was a rising first grader, and have sent their kids to LOMIK camps since they moved to Indiana.
