The Youth of New Joy will be traveling to Chicago this summer to spend a week learning and serving on Chicago's North Side.
Hosted by DOOR Network, our youth will visit and serve each morning in important community organizations, such as a shelter, a soup kitchen, and an urban farm. Each afternoon they will reflect on their experiences, looking at the role these organizations play in the community, why they are needed, and what this all means in light of Jesus' life and teachings about justice, healing, and hope.
Youth aged 13 and up are eligible and encouraged to participate. Space is limited, however, so please let Pastor Chris know by Sunday, March 6 if you are interested in this experience for yourself or your child.
